About the Role
We’re looking for a Tunnel Engineer who is excited to work at the intersection of engineering, customers, and product. This role is ideal for someone with early-career tunnel engineering experience who is highly personable, organized, curious, and eager to learn fast in a startup technology environment.
You’ll work directly with tunnelling teams in the field, help customers make the most of our technology, bring real-world tunnel insights back into the product, and represent the company at industry events. You’ll also have the opportunity to gain exposure to mining projects, expanding your technical breadth beyond tunnelling and construction.
This is a hands-on, outward-facing role with significant room to grow.
The position is a hybrid role, with an office in Mount Pleasant, flexibility to work remote, and approximately 25% travel.
What You’ll Do
Customer Success & Field Engagement
- Set up, onboard, and train new customers virtually and occasionally on-site
- Travel to tunnelling sites across North America to support customers and strengthen relationships
- Support case study development and capture best practices from the field
- Help shape and continuously improve training and onboarding materials
- Gather structured customer feedback to inform product improvements and roadmap decisions
Product & Internal Collaboration
Translate customer needs into clear, actionable product requestsAct as the in-house tunnelling perspective, supporting cross-functional teamsExplore new technical applications with existing industry-standard software applicationsBusiness Development & Industry Engagement
Attend, support, and occasionally present at tunnelling, geotechnical, and infrastructure conferencesAnswer technical questions related to tunnelling workflows and applications of our solutionSupport sales and partnerships with credible, real-world tunnel engineering expertiseWhat Makes This Role Unique

2+ years of experience working on tunnelling projects (field or site-based experience preferred)Background in geotechnical engineering, geology, civil engineering, or a related discipline, university and college degrees acceptedComfortable working on-site and interacting directly with contractors, consultants, and ownersExperience with geological or geotechnical mapping undergroundExperience using CAD software; familiarity with AutoCAD and / or Leapfrog is a strong asset, but not required.Excellent communication - clear, confident, and personable with both technical and non-technical audiencesHighly organized individual who excels at working within cross-functional teamsCurious, adaptable, and excited to learn on the job
