Venor
St. Johns, NL
$45K-$50K a year (estimated)
Full-time

Venor is a leading talent firm in Atlantic Canada that prides itself on cultivating meaningful professional relationships that propel businesses, careers, and the economy.

The people business is ever-changing, with the marriage of talent and business needs providing unique opportunities every single day.

We enjoy a fun, nimble, and entrepreneurial culture, but our branding and communications still need to be held to the high standards of a professional services firm.

As we continue to grow with tremendous traction in Newfoundland & Labrador, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Recruitment Consultant to join our team.

This dynamic individual will be well-organized, self-motivated, and client-centric, with a balance of soft skills across talent acquisition, account management, and business development.

With excellent communication skills, a commitment to client success, and a keen eye for talent and opportunities, the Senior Consultant will be trusted to manage key client relationships and ensure those clients receive the best talent that fits their organizational needs.

It takes a unique type of person to thrive in our industry. You need the business acumen to understand how a role impacts a client organization, the market knowledge to determine where prospective candidates would be employed, the assertiveness to approach those people, the communication skills to captivate them, and the organizational skills to effectively manage the entire process.

On top of that, you need the tenacity to stay on course when things don’t go your way, and the personal ethics to never put your own interests ahead of those you are serving.

Venor team members that embody those qualities have an opportunity to enjoy a strong income, personal branding as an SME in their sector, autonomy to balance their own schedule, and the ability to make a real impact on our employer brand in the community.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their recruitment needs and business goals;
  • Identify and target potential clients through various business development strategies.
  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract high-quality candidates;
  • Source and identify potential candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, and networking events;
  • Source, screen, and interview candidates to assess their qualifications and fit for various roles;
  • Present qualified candidates to clients and coordinate interviews, providing detailed candidate assessments;
  • Conduct thorough interviews and assessments to evaluate candidate qualifications and fit;
  • Negotiate job offers and facilitate the hiring process to ensure a smooth transition for both clients and candidates;
  • Provide feedback and support to both clients and candidates throughout the hiring process;
  • Manage multiple recruitment projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and successful placements; and
  • All other duties as required.

As the ideal candidate, you have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. You bring proven experience in full-cycle recruitment with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

You have strong business development and client management abilities, and are proficient in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment software.

You possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and have strong organizational and time management abilities.

A high level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail is also desired.

Venor embraces a culture of belonging in the workplace. No matter who you are, where you’re from, how you think, what you believe in, or who you love, your application is welcome.

Diversity is appreciated and there is understanding that we all come from different backgrounds and different walks of life, bringing in unique perspectives and experiences.

Applications from 2SLGBTQ+, Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour (BIPOC), women, newcomers to Canada, and people with disabilities are encouraged.
