Senior Vessel Designer / Checker

Description :

Reporting to the Drafting Manager, the Senior Vessel Designer / Checker is an integral part of our drafting team.

Responsibilities :

Create accurate 3D vessel models.

Create accurate vessel detail drawings.

Check and approve vendor-supplied vessel drawings.

Carry out vessel checking as required.

Mentor junior and intermediate vessel designers.

Create and maintain vessel drawing standards.

Create and maintain vessel standard drawings.

Make recommendations for improved processes and efficiency.

Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements :

10+ years of experience in vessel design and fabrication.

Proficient in the use of Cadworx 3D software and AutoCAD (2D and 3D).

Strong knowledge of vessel fabrication processes.

Strong knowledge of vessel design.

Excellent communication skills.

Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
