The Company is seeking a Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) to provide medical leadership in the advancement of technology-enabled information management systems.
The CMIO will be responsible for enhancing the quality of patient care by promoting the use of clinical technology solutions.
This role involves collaborating with colleagues, leading physician engagement, and developing strategies to ensure the effective utilization of informatics solutions across the care continuum.
The successful candidate will champion the adoption of information systems, advise on their development and design, and ensure that technology solutions align with the organization's clinical objectives.
Candidates for the CMIO position at The Company should have a proven track record in leading clinical or quality improvement initiatives within a large, complex healthcare environment.
The role requires a practicing physician with a deep understanding of healthcare operations, particularly in a rural health setting, and the credibility to partner with clinical leaders.
The CMIO will also be involved in change management, adoption, and evaluation of various information systems, including electronic medical records, health information exchanges, and virtual health.
A key aspect of the role is to foster an innovative and development-oriented information culture that optimizes care quality and patient safety.
