School District 72 operates throughout a large geographic area. Campbell River and Quadra Island schools and our school board office are located on the traditional territory of the Ligidax people.

School District 72 also encompasses the traditional territory of the Klahoose (Cortes), K'ómoks (Sayward), and maku (Bute Inlet) First Nations.

0 FTE Intermediate teacher to join our team of educators at Sayward School, who strives to bring the district's learning beliefs to life.

Sayward School is a small rural school located in the Village of Sayward (About the Village of Sayward) on the beautiful east coast of Vancouver Island, approximately 75km north of Campbell River.

The school serves the families living within the Village and the surrounding valley, and offers education to students from Kindergarten to Grade 5.

Residents of the area enjoy access to an abundance of the natural riches Vancouver Island offers; such as hiking, fishing, camping, and skiing.

The area also has a thriving agricultural community due to its proximity to the Sayward Valley. School District 72 (Campbell River) is located on the east coast of central Vancouver Island, extending north to Sayward and south to Oyster River.

The district also includes the outer islands of Read, Cortes, and Quadra. The district serves over 5,600 students in 18 schools with a diverse range of programs that are progressive and responsive to the educational needs and interests of students.

The district respects and values the relationships with all First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples who reside in these territories.

The starting full-time salary for these teaching positions range from $58,267 and $106,217. Placement on a salary scale is subject to verification of experience and certification and will be done in accordance with the current collective agreement.
