Our valued public sector client requires the services of a Senior (10+ years) Technical Writer to assist in documenting technical specifications of Physical Security Systems (PSS) to facilitate the advancement of the Common Secure Access (CSA) solution and Future of Work (FOW) initiative.
Transformation and Enterprise Security (TES) is spearheading the Common Secure Access solution, which is a transformational departmental security program initiative which will provide common secure access to PWGSC workspaces.
Responsibilities :
- The goal of the Senior Technical Writer is to finalize existing PWGSC’s specifications and standards for the following Physical Security Systems :
- a. Access Control Systems (ACS) and related hardware;
b. Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and related hardware; and
c. Video Surveillance Systems (VSS) and related hardware.
- Review existing CSA project documentation and conduct interviews as necessary to best understand subject matter and intended audience.
- Produce first draft of Standards for Physical Security Systems that documents the requirements for Access Control Systems (ACS), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and related hardware;
and Video Surveillance Systems (VSS) and related hardware for client review.
Produce final draft of PSS Standards based on client feedback.
Must haves :
- 10+ years Technical Writing experience
- projects writing technical documents related to physical security and security systems
- Enhanced Reliability Clearance
- Federal government experience
