Shape Tomorrow’s Solutions at Home As a Software QA Analyst Level 1, you will take on the key role of diligently documenting and executing tests to guarantee the seamless delivery of software products critical to our stores' daily operations.
You will have the opportunity to actively contribute to refining and implementing our testing processes and best practices, further strengthening our software quality standards.
Led by the Supervisor, Software Quality Analyst, this opportunity will suit someone with outstanding teamwork and communication skills, and an interest in learning Home Hardware’s business practices and software applications.
Ready to make an impact in a new role? Here’s how :
- Write and document clear, concise, and well-structured test cases based on requirements, technical documents, and methodology.
- Maintain and execute test cases of new, revised, or existing code.
- Compile individual test cases into test sets.
- Effectively communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information regularly to the project team and management.
- Identify, and thoroughly document and track defects found during testing using bug tracking software.
We’re looking for :
- Retail experience and knowledge of current Home Hardware business practices and applications such as Prism, Foundation, Homeinfo, and K8 would be considered a strong asset.
- Proficiency in at least one of the following types of testing : functional, integration, or regression testing.
- Experience in writing clear and concise test cases and documenting test results as needed.
- Experience in writing / executing automated test cases using automation tools like SentinelOne, or UFTone would be an asset.
- Proficiency in testing and utilizing defect tracking software such as Spira, Jira, and ADO.
- Working knowledge of ERP software and a demonstrated understanding of core financial accounting concepts would be considered an asset.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple demands and competing priorities, both autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and analytical skills.
- Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA) / Certified Software Tester (CSTE) would be considered an asset.
- The ability to be onsite three days a week at our corporate office in St. Jacobs, to accommodate our hybrid working model.
