ABOUT THE ROLE :

Clients can’t wait to get their hands on our fantastic products! It’s one thing to promise beauty. It’s a whole other thing to deliver it! It takes planning, analysis and strategy to build brand partnerships, accurately forecast client behaviour and lead inventory levels across our network.

As the Planning Manager, you will be a financial partner to the Merchant to drive growth and lead the brand planning while collaborating with operations and logistic experts to deliver beauty to our clients across the country.

Your role as a Planning Manager helps mentor our energetic and innovative team to continually improve speed and accuracy to deliver on our promise to our clients.

WHAT YOU’LL DO :

  • As a people leader, mentor and develop a high-performing team to successfully achieve business objectives
  • Collaborate with the Director, Merchants, and vendors to create pre-season Brand Budget Plans while developing New Brand strategies, projected sales, inventory by SKU needs, and order flow setups for launch timeframe
  • Own the monthly in season Open to Buy (OTB) forecast of sales and inventory needs within budgeted goals
  • Lead the store level forecasts and orders for Canada to achieve financial goals and objectives
  • Own newness / launch forecasts and buys to support all merchandising and promo strategies, working alongside the Merchandising Team & Vendors
  • Analyze and validate inventory needs for Animations, promos, and overall assortment productivity, providing recommendations to the Merchandising Team for presentation improvements, discontinuations, and new product development within new productivity guidelines
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive overall allocation and merchandise strategy for newness, animation, and events / promos
  • Partner with the US Planning Team to ensure alignment with Canada brand management including developing liquidation strategy on exit brands / collections that are not being RTV, with the Merchandise Team, US Inventory Team and Stores
  • Maintain consistent communication with vendors regarding sales performance, in stocks, and outstanding issues while providing basic forecast for future monthly to gain target fill rate
  • Report on updated business trends and stock continuity weekly and conduct Newness hindsight and key initiatives' analysis on a seasonal basis

WHAT YOU’LL BRING :

  • You have experience planning and / or buying with at least 5 years' in the retail space with a Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in business, retail management, or a related field
  • You are a curious go-getter and love taking on problems while using your analytical skills to find solutions
  • You have entrepreneurial spirit, love working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and take ownership for your work
  • You have mastered the art of communication and relish in working collaboratively with cross-functional groups
  • You are technically savvy with a strong proficiency in Excel
