About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Logistics Supervisor to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will oversee our logistics operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management, while leading a team of dedicated professionals.

This role requires a strong problem-solver with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of optimizing our supply chain processes.

Key Responsibilities :

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the receiving, shipping, and inventory teams
• Develop and implement efficient logistics strategies to improve operational performance.
• Participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities of the organization, set clear KPIs for team members.
• Implement appropriate safety guidelines and investigate injuries or unsafe conditions, conduct safety gap analysis, incident reporting and safety talks
• Negotiate contracts with carriers to ensure cost-effective and reliable transportation services. Work with brokerages, LTL, FTL, courier shipments as required.
• Implement cycle counts and flag of any inventory discrepancies of finished goods.
• Provide assistance in warehouse space utilization by designing facility layouts to achieve maximum storage efficiency
• Select, train, motivate, and evaluate assigned personnel. Implement disciplinary procedures as set forth by organization
• Implement and maintain logistics systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Prepare and analyze performance reports to identify areas for improvement

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in logistics supervision, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking
• Experience in contract negotiation with carriers
• Proficiency in logistics management software(Epicor) and Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of industry best practices and regulatory requirements
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
• Demonstrated coaching and mentoring skills
