Role Description
We are looking for an Intermediate Business Analyst for a 12-month contract position, with possible extensions in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
This position is 100% onsite. 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week. It is NOT a remote role.
Responsibilities
- Engaging stakeholders to build strong relationships, foster collaboration, and negotiate priorities, requirements, and solutions, ensuring diverse perspectives are considered and consensus is achieved where needed.
- Collaborating with technical and business team members on solution design to ensure feasibility and alignment.
- Assessing and defining current and future states across operations, processes, technology, and capabilities to create a shared understanding and support planning and decision making.
- Driving business process re-engineering initiatives across departments or enterprise functions.
- Developing complex use cases, user stories, and detailed scenarios.
- Preparing business cases, feasibility studies, impact assessments, and analyzing cost-benefit scenarios.
- Documenting product and funding requirements for development and ongoing support.
- Supporting change management and communication planning.
- Developing measurement tools to evaluate and track operational improvements.
- Communicating with senior management regarding changes to business operations and impacts.
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms, API specifications, microservice interactions, complex system integrations, data migration processes, and data retention policies.
- Documenting basic user cases, user stories, and current state business processes.
- Supporting user acceptance testing activities by assisting with creating test scenarios and validating that deliverables meet business requirements and applicable standards.
- Assisting in the design of future state processes and service delivery models.
- Supporting alignment between business systems and new business processes.
- Contributing to business cases, feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost benefit analysis.
- Assisting in the development of work plans and project documentation.
- Providing input on end-user requirements to support training and educational materials.
- Coordinating logistics and scheduling for business analysis activities, such as workshops, stakeholder interviews, or working sessions.
- Interacting with diverse stakeholders (e.g. functional and technical experts).
- Foundational understanding of cloud concepts, API’s, integration requirements, and end to end data flows.
Required Skills and Experience
Business Analysis certification or designation (e.g. CCBA, PMI-PMA) preferred.
