Bookkeeper

Overview

The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing daily accounting tasks, and supporting the company’s financial operations. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, proficiency in accounting software, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic sauna manufacturing environment. The position reports directly to the Finance Lead.

Responsibilities

• Financial Record-Keeping : Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Transaction Processing : Record all financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments, accurately within the company’s accounting system.
• Reconciliation : Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Payroll Support : Assist with payroll processing, including tracking employee hours, calculating wages, and ensuring timely payments using the master payroll sheet.
• Invoicing : Prepare and issue customer invoices, following up on outstanding payments to ensure timely collections.
• Expense Monitoring : Track and categorize company expenses, ensuring accurate allocation to appropriate accounts and cost centres.
• Financial Reporting : Prepare essential financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, for management review.
• Regulatory Compliance : Ensure adherence to company policies, tax regulations, and Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE).
• Collaboration : Work closely with the finance team, management, and other departments to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.
• Documentation : Maintain organized, secure, and up-to-date records of all financial transactions and supporting documentation.
