Located in the picturesque Foothills of Alberta and in close proximity to the Rocky Mountains, Pincher Creek Home Care has an opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team.

Reporting to the Seniors Health Area Manager, the Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible to provide direct nursing care to clients in various living settings in collaboration with the Community Care Case Manager.

As a member of our dynamic team, you will be responsible for understanding and carrying out nursing activities in accordance with the Continuing Care Health Service Standards through promoting the Wellness Independence Model of Care and empowerment of clients.

Description :

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills.

You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Required Qualifications :

Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).

Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications : Preferred Qualifications :

Preference given to candidates with Meditech experience. Recent clinical experience in psychiatric and geriatric nursing Preferred.

Knowledge of and skills in applying Home Care Nursing Practice Standards.Understanding of principles of Palliative Care an asset.
