The successful candidate
will assist children in an inclusive program who require support with self-regulation and behaviour as well as self-care and some toileting. This position will begin August 27, 2024 and will continue until June 26, 2025 .Desired qualifications include the following : Experience working with children with significant behaviour and self-regulation needs Academic understanding of literacy and numeracy skills from Kindergarten to grade 9. NVCI and / or SIVA training and asset Demonstrated ability to build relationships with children who require patience and flexibility Experience working with students in one-on-one and in inclusive classroom settings Demonstrated ability to build relationships with students and staff Experience and training in working with children with diverse learning needs Experience in working collaboratively with a Learning Support Team Willingness to work with young children in a physically demanding environment Salary is determined by qualifications and experience.
