Acting as a communication link for the Unit. Scheduling, booking and coordinating patient / resident appointments. Assembling and maintaining patient / resident charts, inputting patient / resident data and transcribing information into relevant systems such as MARS, Kardex, Careplan, charts or electronic health record systems. Clerical duties – keyboarding, data entry, filing, compiling, preparing and maintaining statistics, producing reports, delivering and picking up items, maintaining unit supply levels and meeting minutes. Maintaining timekeeping records for regular and relief staff and submitting / entering to payroll systems. Observing patient / resident call signals and relaying messages to the appropriate personnel. Entry level Full-time Health Care Provider Hospitals and Health Care
Kootenay Lake Regional Hospital in Nelson, B.C. is seeking a Permanent full-time Nursing Unit Clerk (Nursing Unit Assistant). The position works days and evenings, 08 : 00‑16 : 00 and 13 : 50‑22 : 00, with rotating days off.

- Typing Test – Minimum 40 wpm, completed within the last 48 months from a recognized institution.
- Nursing Unit Clerk – Certificate or proof of program completion.
- Education & Experience – Grade 12 plus one year recent related experience (or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience).
