Who You Are :

You have a strong analytical mindset, exceptional attention to detail, and a deep understanding of financial principles and practices.

You possess advanced quantitative skills, including proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis tools. Excellent communication skills are essential, as the role requires presenting complex financial information to various stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

The ideal candidate is proactive and self-motivated, capable of working independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

You should demonstrate a keen ability to think critically and problem-solve, coupled with a strategic mindset to support organizational goals and decision-making processes.

Additionally, a strong sense of integrity and ethical conduct is crucial for maintaining compliance with financial regulations and upholding the highest standards of professionalism.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Review all financial transactions including all sales, internal spending and receipts, third-party vendor payments and more each week, ensuring the accuracy of financial data.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements.
  • Prepare a wide variety of financial reports and analyze KPIs, including ad hoc reports following the company’s requirement.
  • Improve internal bookkeeping processes by identifying and implementing new software and tools to make them more accurate and efficient.
  • Review and run monthly payroll for internal team + contractors.
  • Process Accounts Receivables each month using Stripe, tracking credits and deductions for each client account.

What You Must Have and / or Highly Preferred :

  • A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • More than 4 years of experience in the Accounting and / or FP&A department or a similar position.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office packages, especially Excel.
  • The ability to work independently, self-manage, manage multiple concurrent operational tasks (ie. billing and payroll), and run new projects.
  • Strong analytical skills, and a background or experience in data science are preferred.
  • Fluent written and verbal English skills.
  • CPA designation is preferred.
  • Experience working with Xero is preferred.
  • Experience working in a startup is preferred.
