The Operations Clerk will be mainly responsible for updating the delivery information for exception packages scheduled for delivery every day. Also, the clerk is responsible for forwarding future delivery packages and prepare these for scheduled deliveries the next day. This will include verifying delivery addresses on the packages.

• Location: 734 29th Street, Courtenay BC

• Shift: Monday to Friday; 1:30PM - 5:30PM (shift will vary due to operational needs)

• Note: UPS is a Federally Regulated Workplace

Responsibilities:

• Updates delivery information for scheduled delivery packages

• Address correction for erroneous delivery information

• Provides pick-up and delivery information to package car drivers

• Delivers packages to customers at the customer counter

• Assists customer with the status of their deliveries

• Collects COD, updates pick-up inventory, processes future deliveries

• Handles calls from customers, drivers and vendors

• All other function needed by operations

Qualifications:

• Commitment to work Monday to Friday

• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment

• Comfortable lifting up to 70-lbs. unassisted occasionally

• Ability to multi-task in a time sensitive environment

• Excellent customer service skills

• General Aptitude in Microsoft Office applications

• Proficient in the use of spreadsheet applications
