Job Description

We're seeking a Legal Industry IT Solutions Architect to join our client's dynamic team in Ontario, with offices in Toronto, Vaughan, Waterloo, or London.

In this role, you'll play a crucial part in overseeing various aspects of IT, including strategy, architecture, governance, and security.

Your primary focus will be on managing SQL Server instances, data integrations, and database platforms across different departments and practices.

Key responsibilities include monitoring the performance of Line of Business (LOB) applications and SQL Server instances, optimizing database growth, and ensuring the smooth operation of all production instances through routine maintenance and troubleshooting.

Additionally, you'll be responsible for maintaining comprehensive documentation of all database configurations, licenses, and operational procedures.

Location : Hybrid work from one of Ontario offices (Toronto, Vaughan, Waterloo, London) 2 days a week

Base Salary : $120,000 140,000 per year

Job Responsibilities :

  • Oversee IT strategy, architecture, governance, and security.
  • Manage SQL Server instances, data integrations, and database platforms.
  • Monitor performance of LOB applications and SQL Server instances.
  • Optimize database growth and ensure smooth operation of production instances.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of IT experience, with 3 years in a senior role.
  • Experience in Legal Industry LOB applications, database integrations, and data analysis.
  • Experienced with on of the following Legal software : Aderant (E3 or E-light), iManage
  • Proficiency in SQL Clustering, HA, DR, and scripting languages.
  • Familiarity with ETL tools, relational databases, and development platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience with incident management.
  • Knowledge of security analysis and SDLC methodologies.
