We are seeking committed and talented MDM Engineers to join our new FoundationX team, which lies at the heart of DigitalX.

As a member within FoundationX, you will be responsible for ensuring our MDM systems are operational, scalable and continue to contain the right data to drive business value.

You will play a pivotal role in building maintaining and enhancing our MDM systems.

This position is based in Ontario, Canada and may require on-site work from time to time.

Hybrid work from certain locations may be permitted in accordance with Astellas' Responsible Flexibility Guidelines.

Purpose and Scope :

As an MDM Engineer specializing in the pharmaceutical industry, you’ll be instrumental in shaping Astellas data management strategy.

Your expertise will drive the design, implementation, and optimization of Master Data Management solutions, specifically focusing on customer, product, and brand data.

Essential Job Responsibilities :

  • MDM Solution Architecture :
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and enhance MDM solutions using IBM Datastage, Infosphere, Talend, Veeva Network and equivalent MDM platforms.
  • Perform in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
  • Designing and implementing data models, workflows, and integration pipelines.
  • Support data governance efforts by adhering to established policies and standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to MDM systems.
  • Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Translate pharmaceutical-specific master data requirements (customer, product, brand) into technical specifications.
  • Design and oversee the delivery of functional and technical components for MDM solutions tailored to the industry.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business needs related to customer, product, and brand data.
  • MDM Platform Expertise :
  • Develop data integration processes using platforms including Veeva, Reltio and Informatica, DataStage, Infosphere specifically focusing on pharmaceutical MDM.
  • Create business solutions that use MDM functions ensuring high quality and scalability.
  • Operational Support :
  • Troubleshoot activities within a mission-critical runtime environment specific to pharmaceutical MDM.
  • Monitor CDI services and runtime components, maintaining consistent high performance and availability for customer, product, and brand data.
  • Continuous Improvement :
  • Drive excellence and ensure continuous improvement in the quality of deliverables related to customer, product, and brand data.
  • Optimize data usage within the pharmaceutical organization.
