Our client, a general contractor in the energy and industrial construction sector, is hiring a Project Controls Lead for a 12-month fixed-term contract based on-site in Alberta.
The role involves overseeing cost control, scheduling, and productivity for a large industrial construction project.
The position operates on a 15-days-on, 6-days-off rotational schedule.
Responsibilities :
Maintain and manage cost, productivity, manpower, quality, HSE, and earned value progress data.
Develop and update cost reports, cash flows, and forecasts.
Track purchase orders, subcontracts, and labor costs to ensure budget alignment.
Review cost and schedule reports, identify anomalies, and assess project impact.
Analyze trends and changes, and report progress to the project team.
Implement and manage project controls, ensuring accurate billing and timely reporting.
Support financial and productivity analyses and assist with reconciliation of accounts.
Process change orders and ensure they are completed and approved promptly.
Oversee billing administration and manage integrated project data.
Requirements :
Experience : Minimum 5+ years of project control experience in construction, including estimating, forecasting, scheduling, and cost control.
Skills : Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with P6 required; knowledge of electrical, mechanical, piping, and civil disciplines is an asset.
Additional Experience : Familiarity with construction ERP systems and working in the construction industry is considered beneficial.
Abilities : Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver high-quality project controls in a fast-paced environment.Edit Description
