In-Home Support Worker

Job Summary :

The In-Home Support Worker supports clients living in Long-term Care and in the community. Some of these duties will include :

Providing meal assistance

Assisting clients to / from / during scheduled activities

One on one client support

Answering call bells and supporting clients with requests

Tidy clients rooms and changing bed linens

Facilitating leisure activities

Engaging in indoor and outdoor games

Performs other duties as required

This include assisting with personal care

Qualifications :

Minimum eighteen (18) years of age with demonstrated experience and relevant education.

Outgoing, engaging personality

Food safety training required (training will be provided if necessary).

Must demonstrate good written and oral communication skills.

Must be comfortable working with seniors with varying levels of abilities.

Experience in maintaining a clean environment.

Reliable transportation to Clients’ locations

Able to attend work on a regular and consistent basis.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and on a team.

Current clean criminal record and vulnerable sector checks .

Experience or training in this field (i.e. PSW, training in feeding, etc.) would be an asset.

Ability to work shift work as needed

Salary : $15.75 / hour

Rotation : Day shifts and working every other weekend
