Job description

Job Title : Sr. Desktop Support Analyst

Location : Toronto, ON (North Toronto, ON)

Type : Contract 12 month

Our client currently has an opening for a

Sr. Desktop Support Analyst to work as part of the Desktop Support Team.   The role will provide Networking and Desktop support to users in providing Lotus Notes Ver. 7 or 8 password resets, ID administration, PC, Laptop hardware support and BlackBerry (BES) support to approximately 2,000 end users.

Note : Client will consider cross training on Lotus Notes if all other skills / experience criteria are met however……candidates must still have a minimum of recent basic working experience with Lotus Notes as a user in an Enterprise environment at the very minimum to be considered).

Skills :

  • Recent Lotus Notes (Ver.7 or 8) experience resetting passwords and or creating user ID’s
  • Experience working in a mixed Unix / Windows environment is preferred (AIX, Windows

2003 / 2007 / 2008 / 2010, Active Directory)

  • Must be MS Windows Office Suite proficient
  • Strong hands on knowledge of Break Fix : Software / Hard Drives / Peripherals
  • Must have good networking skills and a good understanding of basic network protocols : TCP / IP
  • Knowledge of WiFi technology
  • Experience supporting Black Berries : Client and BES – Blackberry hand held device, VPN remote user support experienced
  • PC / Laptop Hardware troubleshooting and repair experience
  • Proficient in imaging technologies : Ghost or RIS / Image X or WDS etc
  • Excellent customer service skills – experienced at providing deskside support at the
  • executive level with strong presentations skills

    Experience :

  • Minimum 3 year College diploma or University degree in a technology related discipline
  • MCSE and A+ industry certifications preferred
  • 5 to 7 years experience in PC support & Networking
  • Recent Lotus Notes (Ver. 7 or 8) password resets, ID Administration experience
  • Experience providing support to Senior Executives
  • BlackBerry support experience required (client and BES)
  • Ability to work in a very fast paced environment and make frequent work re-prioritization decisions
  • Excellent customer service, communications & presentations skills, recent experience working within all levels across the organization in a fast paced Enterprise environment
  • Professional, dynamic and career minded with a strong work ethic
