Director, Construction and Development

MatchBox Consulting Group is looking for a Project Manager in Calgary, AB . Over the past eight years, our client has showcased proficiency in middle housing in Canada, completing the construction of almost 200 gentle-density homes and over 300 apartment units in well-established neighborhoods.

Among these projects, several have received recognition as award-winning developments on local, national, and international levels.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Oversee both the development and construction teams, managing project budgets and ensuring successful project delivery from start to finish.
  • Lead the creation and execution of comprehensive project plans, including scheduling, budgeting, quality assurance, and communication.
  • Collaborate with the Development Team on early design feasibility, manage consultants, and oversee City of Calgary permit applications.
  • Establish and manage construction contracts, oversee hard cost budgets, and administer change management, including RFIs and change orders.
  • Monitor construction progress, quality, and compliance with municipal requirements, coordinating resolutions as needed.
  • Ensure seamless project completion and handover, reviewing and issuing turnover documents on time.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • 5-10 years experience in the construction & development industry
  • Strong English communication skills
  • Interest in leadership responsibilities
  • MF experience (townhomes ideal) from a Development Background
