Job descriptionWilling to relocate Transportation Organize tasks to accomplish the work Plan and organize operational logistics of the organization Track and complete work orders Monitor movement of supplies and materials between departments Perform routine clerical duties Prepare and submit reports Arrange for maintenance and repair work Ensure accuracy of completed time sheets, payroll and other summaries Ensure proper functioning of equipment Light cleaning duties Maintain work records and logs Monitor personnel workloads and locations Organize warehouse and work areas Perform general office duties Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality Recruit and hire staff Co‑ordinate activities with warehouse and production units Co‑ordinate traffic flow of supplies Compile worksheets and specifications of orders Consult with production supervisor to schedule production runs in a cost and time-efficient manner Estimate type and quantity of materials and labour required for production, construction and other projects Monitor production progress Prepare and maintain progress and other reports Project management Provide customer service Train workers in duties and policies Arrange training for staff Conduct performance reviews Co‑ordinate, assign and review work Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies Advise vehicle operators of traffic and other problems Assist with maintenance of communications equipment Communicate with ships, aircraft and other remote operations Dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders Dispatch personnel as required by emergency situations Follow-up on issues with work orders Keep track of shipments Knowledge of cross border dispatching regulations and practices Knowledge of highway trucking and associated rules and regulations Maintain vehicle operator work records Operate radio equipment Process and transmit information and instructions to co-ordinate the activities of vehicle operators and crews using dispatching equipment Record mileage, fuel use, repairs and other expenses Respond to urgent calls from individual who find themselves in life threatening situation and who require assistance Schedule assignments and co-ordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews and equipment Organize and maintain inventory Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate First Aid Certificate IBM AS / 400 Microsoft Visio Dispatch management service software Mapping and data visualization software Monitoring and tracking software Word processing software Electronic scheduler Database software Electronic mail Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment Spreadsheet Switchboard 1-25 lines Switchboard 25+ lines AutoCAD Database Enterprise resource planning (ERP) software IBM Lotus Lean Manufacturing MS Outlook MS Project Material requirements planning (MRP) system Oracle Quick Books SAP (FI / CO / HR / MM / OT SD) Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines Internet Inventory control software Purchasing software Human resources software HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) knowledge MS Access MS Excel MS PowerPoint MS Word MS Windows Adobe Acrobat Reader Shopify MS Office Primavera Instrumentation Community service organization Shipping line Trucking Security and safety Criminal record check Up to 9 kg (20 lbs) Client focus Efficient interpersonal skills Excellent oral communication Excellent written communication Flexibility Organized Reliability Team player Values and ethics Initiative Judgement Analytical Proactive Dental plan Disability benefits Health care plan Vision care benefits Commission Group insurance benefits Life insurance Long-term care insurance Free parking available
