Minimum Qualifications :

• Class G license
• Ability to lift 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications :

• Mechanically inclined, ability to perform minor repairs on the equipment
• Previous experience in highway painting and maintenance with knowledge of OTM Book 7 traffic control

Day in the Lide

As a Symbol Crew Labourer, you could think of yourself as a member of the road artistry team. Responsible for operating / walking behind the paint application carts and equipment, performing abrasive and non-abrasive blasting and grinding, your role is critical to the completion of road construction.

You will have the opportunity to operate other equipment such as forklifts and loaders as well as load / unload materials and traffic control signage as you lay out and pre-mark on new and existing asphalt.

Time to let your creative side out as there will be some hand work, marking arrows, cross walks, and any other specialty markings.

Attention to detail will also be key as maintain accurate documentation of driver logs, fuel records, time sheets, and daily work logs.

Every day you will lead by example by promoting, leading, and executing a Safety-First culture for all employees, sub-contractors, consultants, and the public.

Enjoy the sunny weather and beautiful views of Northern Ontario while operating state of the art equipment, traveling around the province.

You will be adding all finishing touches to the asphalt adding that icing on the cake.
