Key Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and analysis, with strong understanding of the Rules of the Small Claims Court (O. Reg. 258 / 98) and the Rules of Civil Procedure (R.R.O. 1990, Reg. 194)
• Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, and enforcement‑related materials
• Represent clients in Small Claims Court and other Ontario courts for litigation and enforcement matters
• Manage multiple case files across all stages of litigation and enforcement, ensuring timely and accurate progression
• Collaborate with senior lawyers to develop case strategies and provide legal support on diverse disputes
• Ensure compliance with legal standards, procedures, and filing requirements
• Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff
• Assist in enforcement proceedings such as garnishments, writs of seizure and sale, and judgment recovery
• Support the Real Estate Department by assisting with real‑estate closings, refinancing transactions, and related documentation
