Job Description : Responsibilities

• Provides excellent physical and emotional care for hospice residents in collaboration with the Registered Nurse.
• Monitors the safety and the care of hospice residents at all times.
• Provides the basic care of residents including bathing dressing and grooming residents and attending to personal needs.
• Addresses the physical emotional and psychological needs of all residents; assists in ensuring that spiritual needs are met as appropriate by following The Salvation Armys values of hope service dignity and stewardship.
• Completes designated cleaning tasks including : equipment beds resident rooms and kitchenette.
• Assesses equipment integrity and charges equipment batteries.
• Assists the Registered Nurse with post-mortem care.
• Reports to the Registered Nurse any changes in resident condition unmanaged symptoms any skin or mouth concerns.
• Documents all care provided in a timely fashion prior to the end of the shift.
• Sits at the front desk of the Nursing Station to answer door / phone for the Unit Clerk if requested.
• Works as a part of a team assisting co-workers after completing their own assigned tasks.
• Participates in staff meetings in-services interdisciplinary rounds special projects.
• Attends all compulsory education sessions as required to maintain knowledge and expertise.

Compensation :

The target hiring range for this position is $21.86 to $23.94 with a maximum of $26.02.

Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions internal equity and candidate experience skills and qualifications relevant to the role.
