In this senior specialist role, you will manage product plans and priorities, lead discovery and delivery activities, and coordinate work that crosses business and technology teams. You will gather and analyze information, define options, and support decisions that balance business value, risk, dependencies, operational needs, and platform sustainability.
You will work with partners across the organization to improve product practices, measures, and ways of working. You will also guide cross-functional team members in their day-to-day product activities without formal supervisory responsibility.

- Lead product discovery and planning activities across business and technology teams, translating business needs into clear problems, options, priorities, and product requirements.
- Manage product processes and governance activities, including intake, prioritization, backlog management, release planning, decision records, and outcome tracking.
- Coordinate cross-functional delivery with platform, service, integration, security, data, operations, delivery, and vendor teams, resolving dependencies and supporting accountable outcomes.
- Define and monitor measures such as adoption, service performance, reliability, delivery progress, and stakeholder outcomes, and recommend improvements based on results.
- Investigate varied and moderately complex product issues by gathering detailed information, analyzing root causes, and developing practical options and recommendations.
- Guide Product Managers, product team members, and delivery partners in day-to-day product practices, and review work where appropriate to support consistent quality.
- Represent the Workday product perspective in operational planning, governance, release, vendor, and stakeholder discussions, communicating complicated information in clear language.
What we’re looking for in you:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 7 to 10 years of related experience, including experience managing enterprise platform, digital product, or business application initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to manage product roadmaps, priorities, backlogs, and releases in support of operational plans and business objectives.
- Experience gathering and analyzing detailed information, investigating complex problems, and developing practical recommendations.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to build shared understanding on policies, practices, procedures, and technical matters.
- Knowledge of enterprise platforms, integrated systems, product lifecycle practices, service operations, and value measurement.
- Experience managing Workday or another enterprise resource planning platform is an asset.
- Knowledge of Workday capabilities, integrations, vendor releases, release planning, and enterprise support models is considered an asset.
- Preference may be given to candidates with a product management certification.
- Familiarity with enterprise product operating models or agile delivery practices is desirable.
- Ability to guide the day-to-day work of others and support consistent product practices without formal supervisory responsibility.
- Clear communication and facilitation skills, including the ability to explain complicated information and tailor it to the audience.
