Job description

Randstad Canada is looking for a results-driven Human Resources Advisor to act as the primary on-site partner for a major distribution center located in the Beauharnois area. In this versatile role, you will act simultaneously as a human resources advisor, team manager, and client partner. You will be responsible for overseeing high-volume workforce operations, driving employee retention, ensuring compliance with labor standards, and maintaining excellent collaboration with plant management on the floor. Although the assignment begins as a 3-month contract, it offers strong long-term career prospects and permanency based on your performance.

Location: Beauharnois, QC

Employment Type: Full-Time Contract (Long-Term Potential Based on Performance)

Compensation: $24.00 – $29.00 / hour

Advantages
As a Human Resources Advisor with Randstad Canada, you will benefit from:
Competitive Compensation: $24.00 to $29.00 per hour, based on experience.

Immediate Coverage: Access to Randstad's comprehensive health benefits from day one.

Long-Term Growth: Contract role with strong potential for ongoing extension or permanent conversion based on strong performance.

Financial Perks: Weekly payroll processing, overtime opportunities, and employee referral bonus programs.

On-Site Amenities: Complimentary employee parking on-site.

Responsibilities
As Human Resources Advisor, you will be the face of Randstad on-site — a visible, trusted, and proactive presence for both the workforce and the client. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Workforce Onboarding: Facilitate structured orientation sessions to integrate new hires efficiently into operational workflows.

Scheduling & Workforce Allocation: Manage daily shift schedules, handle attendance tracking, and adjust staffing coverage to meet operational volume requirements.

Performance Management: Provide real-time coaching on the floor, handle conflict resolution, and execute progressive discipline (including warnings and offboarding) in accordance with Québec labor standards.

Client Account Management: Partner directly with client site management to anticipate staffing needs, address operational bottlenecks, and communicate proactive solutions.

Reporting & Metrics: Track key operational indicators including attendance, productivity, turnover, and safety compliance to report performance data to stakeholders.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
•The client sees you as a strategic partner — not a vendor contact.
•Your workforce shows up, performs, and stays — because they feel managed with fairness and respect.
•Attendance and performance issues are addressed early, not escalated after they become crises.
•New hires reach productivity faster because your onboarding is structured and human.
•You communicate proactively — your client and your Randstad manager are never surprised.
•You use data to back your decisions — not just instinct.

Qualifications
The ideal Human Resources Advisor candidate brings the following:
Bilingualism: Full professional fluency in both French and English (written and spoken) is required.
Our Client operates across Canada. This company takes all reasonable means to limit the number of positions in Quebec that require knowledge of a language other than French, and only requires this where it is necessary and its existing bilingual employees are unable to fulfill these job duties.

Based on an assessment conducted by our client, it has been determined that this position requires candidates to be fluent in English (oral and written). In particular, this position will require the employee to communicate with English-speaking clients, partners, and employees located outside Quebec on a daily basis.

Experience: Background in workforce management, HR coordination, or floor supervision within a warehouse, industrial, or distribution environment.

Mobility: Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle (site is not accessible via public transportation).

Skills: Strong conflict resolution abilities, organizational skills, familiarity with labor standards, and comfort using data for reporting.

Summary
This Human Resources Advisor position offers a dynamic opportunity to oversee high-volume workforce operations while acting as a key partner for an industry-leading distribution facility. The assignment offers strong long-term growth potential for top performers. Qualified candidates are encouraged to submit their resume directly to Maude Maheux at maude.maheux@randstadsourceright.ca or apply online at randstad.ca.
