SECURITY GUARDS SPECIAL EVENT

Location: MEDICINE HAT AREA

Securitas is now hiring Security Guards for an upcoming special event in Medicine Hat area. These are temporary roles running from August 15 to October 05 2026.

We are seeking SECURITY GUARDS FOR MEDICINE HAT AREA.

  • Must have a valid Alberta Security Guard License
  • Must have a valid Class 5 drivers license and access to a personal vehicle
  • Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test

Schedule Details:

  • Start August 15 2026
  • Tentative end date October 52026
  • 4 days on / 4 days off
  • 12-hour shifts
    • Day Shift: 06:00 18:00
    • Night Shift: 18:00 06:00
  • $18.00 Pay rate per hour
  • Travel accommodation & food allowance

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site providing for the security and safety of client property its assets and personnel.
  • Makes periodic patrols to check for irregularities and to inspect protective devices and fire control equipment.
  • Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel visitors and premises.
  • Controls access to client sites or facility through the admittance process.
  • Patrols assigned sites on foot or in vehicles; checks for unsafe conditions hazards unlocked doors security violations blocked entrances and exits mechanical problems and unauthorized persons.
  • Satisfies client needs by providing excellent customer service while minimizing risk to the clients property and assets.
  • Monitors intrusion detection systems using automated alarm and video monitoring software.
  • Use computer systems and software to monitor sites and complete basic training.
  • Protect evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents emergencies or security investigations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid provincial Security Guard License
  • Working knowledge of security operations and procedures
  • Reliable means of transportation
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ableto write routine correspondence including logs and reports
  • Basic computer skills such as the ability to use Microsoft Office.
  • Able to walk stand and conduct patrols
  • Must have excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Must pass drug and alcohol test
  • Must have valid driver license and vehicle
  • First Aid/ CPR is considered an asset
