Job description
Structural DesignersWere seeking dedicated and experienced Structural Designers of all levels to join our Design & Consulting team in supporting innovative shipbuilding and marine engineering projects!Whether youre launching your career or bringing years of expertise youll collaborate with a passionate team work with cutting-edge tools and play a hands-on role in bringing ambitious designs to life with accuracy creativity and impact. Proudly supporting major initiatives like Canadas National Shipbuilding Strategy (NSS) and commercial projects across North America we foster an environment where collaboration drives innovation learning and development are continuous and every team member plays a vital role in shaping our responsibilitiesAs a Designer with a Structural background you will:Create and modify 3D Hull structure and outfit models fabrication drawings and drafting support according to project scope for structure and distributive a level of quality control for project work in accordance with Genoas quality management of 3D models with regulatory standards classification rules (DNV Lloyds/GL etc.) design guidelines and client-specific technical detail design and construction drawings related to the 3D model structural design and/or distributed on additional duties as required to support the team and youYou have a technical diploma or degree in a relevant field (naval architecture marine engineering) or a combination of education and have marine design experience in structure distributed/marine systems or a combination of have experience working directly with regulatory bodies and classification are proficient in 3D model development design modifications and general arrangement drawing can redline annotate and draft for new ship construction and refit have a strong ability to read and interpret technical specifications and drawings. You are familiar with AutoCAD and of AVEVA Cadmatic Foran or other ship design software is an have hands-on experience working with 3D product models for new ship construction and/or refit projects.
