The Accountant is in charge of reviewing their clients financial statements, accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliation, and month-end closing and preparing T2 corporate tax returns. Moreover, as the Accountant you prepare HST/GST and light journal entries or general ledger reconciliation. Key responsibilities

- Ready monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents

- Sort sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments

- Keep a check on Accounts Payable

- Review of all supporting reports and reconciliation

- Review monthly accounting close

- Review of general ledger

- Review monthly accounting close

- prepare corporate T2 tax forms and US Tax

- Secondary assignment when necessary

Job Requirements:

- Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

- Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment

- Strong time management and organizational skills

- Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing

- 1+ years of related experience

- Year end closings experience

- Well-founded grasp of Quickbooks Online

- Intermediate level of Microsoft Excel

- Proven knowledge of Tax Notices

- Financial statement preparation experience required

- Comprehensive knowledge of Corporate Tax Return

- Experience with Notice to Reader

- Deep understanding of bank reconciliations

- Skillful in analytical, quantitative and social skills

- Proven analytical skills with good organizational skills

- Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines

- Self-starter and strong ethical standards

- Dynamic accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper or entry level Accountant preferred
