Location: Fort McMurray, AB

Diversified Transportation has an exciting opportunity available for a Scheduler based in Fort McMurray. Reporting to the Operations Centre Manager, the Scheduler is responsible for the daily scheduling of drivers and runs to accommodate service requirements. This role is also responsible for liaising between operations, training and human resource departments.

The schedule for this position is Sunday to Thursday, 8-hour days (exact shift times to be determined).

Primary Responsibilities

• Assign personnel to equipment and routes and schedule work shifts
• Analyze scheduling data to prepare required reports and provide information to Operations Centre Manager
• Ensure an up-to-date record retention using HASTUS scheduling system
• Resolve routing difficulties in collaboration with the Operations Management Team
• Coordinate bus scheduling to accommodate daily runs and ad hoc services
• Ensure service delivery is compliant with applicable policies and regulations
• Maintain manual and computer-generated documents, files, scheduling records, and reports
• Analyze scheduled requisitions, personnel availability and other pertinent information to establish schedule parameters
• Ensure that all schedules are completed in a timely and cost effective manner
• Create, modify or incorporate existing schedules into route plan factors such as peak travel periods, holidays, special events and construction with emphasis on time and cost efficiency

Desired Qualifications

• Three plus years of experience in customer service, logistics, data entry, scheduling, records management, ERP, and/or database management
• Completion of a university or college diploma is considered an asset
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point
• Experience in databases, transportation scheduling software or ERP software is required
• Experience with HASTUS is considered an asset
• Dispatching experience an asset
