Position Overview :

As a Material Handler in the new parts warehouse you will be responsible for material movements within the facility as well as shipping / receiving goods to / from other facilities. You will ensure all moves are made in a safe manner and are properly recorded / input into the warehouse management systems.

Job Description :

Transport and distribute materials and goods

Receive pick and stock orders

Effectively use warehousing software and systems to track movement of goods

Load unload and move products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment

Pack and unpack goods

Install lash and secure goods

Maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety

Qualifications :

A minimum of 6 months working in Wage Grade 1 or higher.

Reach Truck Narrow aisle and Picker Truck experience is preferred.

Must be able to prioritize numerous demands and possess good time management skills

Must be able to communicate written and spoken English effectively

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work well in a team environment with minimum supervision.

Ability to regularly lift and handle material weighing up to 40 pounds.

Familiar with computer / tablet use; basic understanding of Microsoft suite is preferred

Preference will be given to candidates with accredited reach truck / forklift certification.

A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator.

Candidate must demonstrate the ability to work in a safe manner and comply in all aspects of the organizations policies and procedures.

Note :

This posting is for a static day shift scheduled Monday Thursday; 10 hours per day

Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement

Hourly Rate : $25.46 - $36.07 / Hour
