Reporting to the Home Centre Team Leader, responsibilities for this position include the following :
- Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, values, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach
- Provide Legendary Service through various touch points and communication channels
- Assist guest with item selection and make recommendations based on an inquiring approach
- Perform receiving of merchandise, stocking, operation of point-of-sale systems, pricing, displaying, selling, conduct inventory counts
- Maintain cleanliness, rotation and order of merchandise and load products into customer vehicles as assigned
- Come to work with a positive, professional attitude and be dependable for all shifts
- Complete required paperwork based on department standards
- Perform all other duties as assigned

Who you are :
You are looking for a career in Home & Building Products and Customer Service :
- You have a grade 12 education or equivalent experience; previous customer service and home centre / building materials experience are considered assets
- You are honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented, and are proud of the work that you do
- You are well-organized and capable of attaining a high level of production, with a minimum amount of supervision
- You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
- You’re attentive to detail and have strong cash management skills
- Ability to fulfil physical job requirements manual labour is required
- You have point-of-sale experience and have the ability to work in a fast paced, guest facing environment
- You have a flexible work schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays
