Sr. Application Developer

Our Client is seeking the services of an experienced .NET C# / SQL Application Developer. The developer will be responsible for various requirements gathering & programming duties for application projects and enhancement tasks. The resource will work closely with the application development and maintenance teams. In addition, the developer will work directly with subject matter experts in the business areas for application testing and remediation to ensure code functions as per specification. This developer will be assigned to work on the Pension Benefits Information System (PBIS), and possibly the Insurance Regulatory Information System (IRIS), Disaster Recovery Dashboard, or other Treasury Board & Finance application development & maintenance projects.

Experience with Pension regulation and systems would be an asset.

The position is a 12-month contract with possible extension.

Remote. Resource must reside in Canada.

Proposed resource must be submitted at an hourly rate of $X per hour or less for all possible terms. Note that proposed rates which are lower than this maximum rate will receive a higher score in evaluation.

The proposed resource must meet or exceed one of the following :

University graduation in computer science or a related discipline and 4-yr Application Developer (AD) experience OR 2-yr diploma in computer science or a related discipline and 6-yr AD experience

OR 1-yr certificate in computer science or a related discipline and 7-yr AD experience OR 8-yr AD experience

Experience gathering user requirements, system documentation and creating user documentation / manuals

Experience with Entity Framework.

Experience with .Net frameworks and C# application development using object-oriented techniques.

Experience with MS SQL Server, Management Studio, stored procedures, data modelling, and reporting services

Experience with Windows Forms development

Experience with WCF (Windows Communication Foundation) web services

Experience with ASP.NET MVC (Model View Controller)

Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server / Azure DevOps for source control, agile portfolio management, and release management, continuous delivery, continuous integration, and unit testing

Proposed resource must work from within Canada, due to network and data security issues. Standard Hours of work are 08 : 15 - 16 : 30 Alberta time
