The Systems Technologist will support Cedarglen Homes’ data, reporting, and automation capabilities across the organization. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports (including rebuilding reporting after system migrations), supporting and enhancing Power Apps and Power Automate solutions, and partnering with business users to reduce manual, repetitive work through automation.
The Systems Technologist will also contribute to AI‑related initiatives, researching, testing, and piloting solutions, and support Copilot Agent development. This role works closely with the Director of Systems and Technology on priority initiatives and collaborates with stakeholders to enable data‑driven decision‑making and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Data & Reporting Development
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Rebuild reporting solutions following system migrations.
- Apply data visualization best practices to deliver clear, actionable insights.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Support
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into data‑driven solutions.Support business users in a non‑IT environment with guidance, training, and troubleshooting.Ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, and aligned with operational priorities.Power Platform & Automation
Support and enhance Power Apps and Power Automate solutions based on evolving business needs.Assist business units with automation initiatives to reduce manual and repetitive tasks.Support AI projects, including research, testing, and piloting tools and approaches.Contribute to Copilot Agent development and intelligent automation opportunities.Work closely with the Director of Systems and Technology on priority initiatives.Document solutions, standards, and processes to ensure consistency and maintainability.Qualifications
Post‑secondary education in computer science, computer programming, or a related field.Minimum of 3 years’ experience in data analytics or business intelligence.Advanced experience with :Power BIMicrosoft Power Apps and Power AutomatePower Query, DAX, PythonExpert experience querying databases / data warehouses / data lakes using SQL and OData feeds.Experience supporting business users in a non‑IT environment.Demonstrated ability to design and develop efficient, effective BI dashboards and reports using data visualization best practices.Excellent communication skills with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.Preferred Qualifications
Microsoft Power Platform certification.Experience with AI tools, chatbots, or automation initiatives.Experience in predictive analytics (asset).Knowledge of Sage Intacct data structures and integration.Exposure to Python or VBA for advanced analytics or automation.Experience in construction, real estate, or operationally complex environments (nice to have, not required).Why Cedarglen Homes?
