Salary: $80,000 – $95,000

Location: Calgary, Alberta

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations within our industrial construction clients organization. This role is ideal for a senior payroll professional who thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and is comfortable working within a highly manual ERP/payroll structure. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing across multiple employee groups and field locations.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll for between 500-800 employees, both salary and hourly
• Manage hours, overtime, deductions, benefits, taxes, and shift/site premiums
• Administer allowances (LOA, travel, etc.)
• Process ROEs, terminations, and year-end adjustments
• Perform payroll & GL reconciliations and journal entries
• Ensure Canadian payroll compliance (US exposure an asset)
• Maintain employee records in HRIS / ERP, work within Vista Viewpoint ERP
• Identify discrepancies and support process improvements

Requirements

• Payroll certification (PCP / CPM)
• Minimum 5 years payroll experience
• Proven Vista Viewpoint payroll / ERP experience
• Experience with high-volume hourly payroll
• Strong knowledge of payroll accounting & reconciliations
• Understanding of overtime rules & pay variables
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally
