POSITION TYPE PERMANENT, FULL-TIME
The Payroll Supervisor is a member of the Finance department who supervises and coordinates all aspects of the Agency’s payroll functions, maintaining compliance with relevant legislation. The incumbent must maintain strict confidentiality; has a keen attention to detail, excellent mathematical and analytical skills. The work is complex and mentally challenging.
Qualifications :
- Post-secondary education or Certificate / Diploma in an accredited payroll program, and / or a PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) or CPM (Certified Payroll Manager) designation an asset.
- 3 years of experience in Payroll Administration preferred; and / or 1 year of experience in a supervisory role in a Payroll department.
- Ability to mange conflicting priorities.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Northern First Nations communities.
- Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft office (Excel, Word and Office Suite).
- Class 5 driver’s licence.
- Ability to speak Cree / Dene an asset.
