Senior / Intermediate Platforms Software Engineer (Unreal Engine 5)

We’re looking for an intermediate platforms engineer to help ship our Unreal Engine 5 games across modern console platforms. You’ll optimize performance and memory usage, wrangle platform SDKs and TRCs, and collaborate with teams to ensure stability, compliance, and smooth builds across platforms—especially consoles.

This role is remote-friendly in Canada (Pacific-time overlap required).

What You’ll Tackle

• Platform Support – Integrate and maintain UE5 features across console platforms, including Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.
• Build and Release Engineering – Own automated packaging, deployment, and validation of builds for multiple platforms.
• Performance and Optimization – Profile and tune CPU, GPU, memory, and loading performance to meet platform-specific targets.
• Certification & Compliance – Work closely with production to ensure TRC / XR compliance and support submissions to first-party partners.
• Technical Collaboration – Act as a key liaison between engine / platform tech and gameplay teams to resolve cross-platform issues and blockers.
• Tooling and Workflow – Improve the efficiency of platform development by building or enhancing internal tools and CI systems.
