Job Description

• Lead the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
• Analyze, summarize, and communicate monthly internal financial reports and financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial activities, such as month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Complete complex accounting-related activities (consolidation, report building, journal entries, reviews)
• Conduct financial analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities, performance enhancement strategies, and areas of financial risk.
• Work closely with Business Unit (BU) partners to understand their business, help them understand their financial drivers, and challenge their assumptions.
• Participating in various continuous improvement projects to optimize processes and reduce the production cycle time of financial information.

Qualifications

• University degree in accounting or finance.
• Pursuing a CPA designation, an asset
• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Excellent knowledge of Excel.
• Experience leading a team, an asset
• Autonomy, attention to detail, analytical skills, and a sense of responsibility.
• Bilingual French / English
