  • Track material submittals, mill certificates, and other compliance documents for delivered materials and fabricated components.
  • Confirm that all materials incorporated into the work have been pre-approved and meet the contract technical requirements.
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to collect necessary quality documentation and ensure it is complete prior to use.

Technical Skills

  • Working knowledge of MoTI standard specifications, quality control testing, and documentation practices.
  • Familiarity with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), compaction testing standards, concrete and asphalt quality control.
  • Experience coordinating third-party materials testing and QA/QC documentation on MoTI-funded projects.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and test reports.
  • Experience supporting Quality Managers or Engineers on large public infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in quality control or inspection roles on highway, bridge, or civil infrastructure projects.
  • Civil engineering diploma, construction management, or related technical education is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and digital file organization.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and ability to work full-time on site.

Interpersonal Skills

  • Demonstrated work ethic and team collaboration.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with a strong documentation mindset.
  • Proactive and dependable in managing daily field tasks and quality reporting deadlines.
  • Clear communicator capable of working with field crews, subcontractors, and client representatives.
  • Practical understanding of construction workflows and the importance of inspection timing and documentation.
  • Committed to ensuring quality standards are met and deficiencies are addressed promptly.

Benefits

  • Paid vacation and employer-paid health benefits.
  • Training and mentorship under experienced project quality leadership.
  • Opportunity to work on a landmark infrastructure project in BC.
  • Supportive team culture with a focus on professionalism and performance.
  • RRSP matching program to help you plan for your future.
  • Team building and social events.
  • Opportunity to advance in your career.
  • Work-life balance.
  • A great culture where we truly value our employees.
  • Only residents in the Lower Mainland of BC will be considered.
