Maintenance/Facilities Mechanic

Are you a skilled maintenance professional with a knack for keeping things running smoothly? We're looking for a dedicated and proactive Maintenance/Facilities Mechanic to join our team!

Teknion Custom Solutions is a wood office furniture manufacturer with a 200,000 sq ft manufacturing plant in Calgary. As our Maintenance/Facilities Technician, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our manufacturing plant and equipment are safe, functional, and well-maintained to maximize operational uptime and output.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, HVAC, plumbing and lighting.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions by repairing or replacing defective parts or components.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems such as cleaning, lubricating and other routine maintenance work.
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory of supplies.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience as a Facility or Equipment Maintenance Technician or similar.
• Exceptional mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
• Proficiency in operating a variety of hand and power tools and man lifts.
• Understanding of basic electrical, hydraulic, and other systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Energetic and enthusiastic approach with the ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team of four maintenance personnel.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Understand health and safety requirements and work within Provincial, Federal and Corporate policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Computer skills (PM programs, email, excel and Google Suite)
