Position Overview

Classic Construction is seeking a reliable and skilled General Labourer / Carpenter to join our growing team. This contract role is open due to a recent staffing change and will continue to support our construction and maintenance projects. Reporting directly to the Construction Manager, this role will play a key part in delivering high-quality workmanship across a variety of construction projects.

This is a 6-month contract position with the possibility to transition to full-time employment following the 6-month contract period, following a review at the end of the contract term.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with general construction and labour tasks, including site preparation, demolition, and material handling
• Support skilled trades with day-to-day construction activities
• Perform basic carpentry, repairs, and maintenance work as required
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times
• Follow project plans, schedules, and instructions provided by the Construction Manager
• Comply with all company policies and health and safety regulations
• Identify and report safety hazards, material needs, or issues on site
