Job description

Responsibilities

Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables
Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments
Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances
Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports
Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments

Qualifications

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

2 years to less than 3 years of relevant experience

Experience with measuring tools : micrometers, calipers, calibre, gauges, verniers

Computer and technology knowledge : Mastercam CAD / CAM; computer‑aided design (CAD)

Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, tight‑deadline environment

Excellent written and oral communication

Attention to detail, initiative, flexibility, ability to learn quickly and work as a team player

Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift more than 45 kg (100 lb) and handle repetitive tasks

Work Setting

Work must be completed at the physical location; remote work is not permitted

Willingness to relocate; relocation costs not covered by the employer

General manufacturing environment

Security & Safety

Drug test required

Use of safety equipment / gear : steel‑toed safety boots, safety glasses / goggles, face shield, gloves, hard hat

Own tools / equipment may be required
