Robert Half is hiring now for an experienced IT Manager for our Client to fulfill a contract / temporary opportunity. As the successful Candidate you will be accountable for meeting the needs of the business environment by prioritizing short-term and long-term goals ensuring exceptional service delivery. You will lead the team, coordinating with sales, systems engineers, clients, and all levels of management to provide clients with appropriate technical solutions. You have in-depth knowledge of IT systems, helpdesk, hardware, software, and processes, you are well organized with excellent communication skills. This role is located in Edmonton, AB., but is open to hybrid remote (work from home / work from office) working permissions for eligible candidates.

Job Requirements : MUST HAVES :

• 10+ years working success in a similar role with proven knowledge and working ability in supporting Windows 2008 R2 / 2012 / 2016 / 2019 networks
• Demonstrated strength in Microsoft Azure / Office 365 technologies – design, implementation, and administration
• Proficient and broad knowledge of VMWare virtualization technologies including ESXi, VCenter, in HA environments
• Strong knowledge of Citrix Workspace, Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops, and NetScaler
• Proven strength in administration of MS Exchange, Remote Desktop Services, SQL Server, and SharePoint administration
• Solid experience with multiple server and desktop operating systems in a single network as well as experience with managing complex virtualized environments
• Proactive and takes initiative. Thinks creatively with the ability to meet long term goals
• Top notch analytical skills and attention to detail in order to analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope out technical requirements combined with sound business judgment
• Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with strong verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical people
• Ability to work well with people and to lead and inspire them to do their best work every day
• A Degree or Diploma in a related field from a recognized post-secondary institute is required
