Various Positions - AGT FOODS OAT MILLING GP INC., a subsidiary of AGT Food and Ingredients Inc., is a value-added oat milling facility focused on the production of a variety of products, including oat groats, flours and other milled oat products, for plant-based human food, specialty ingredient and animal feed products.

We are currently recruiting for the following positions at our Aberdeen, SK facility : Oat Milling OperatorPrimary Responsibilities : Packaging and storage of products to meet production ordersCleaning and sanitizing production equipmentSetting up production equipmentOperating forklift in a safe and efficient mannerSetting up and replenishing various ingredientsGeneral housekeeping of production area and stocking suppliesPulling samples for micro testingObserving Good Management Practices and required HAACP proceduresOat Milling Quality AssurancePrimary Responsibilities : Ensuring raw material, in-process blends and finished products meet food safety and quality requirementsGather product samples within the manufacturing environmentConduct inspection and testing on finished product according to specificationsAnalyze product for characteristics such as moisture, weight, water hydration and particle size and apply all test information into the databaseInitiate, communicate and track all product non-conformances to the specificationCreate and release certificates of analysis for all customers upon requestCollect retained samples and maintain quality & food safety parametersThese are full-time positions and will involve rotational shifts in a continuous operation facility and overtime may be required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities : Valid driver’s licenceAbility to work in CanadaDemonstrated ability to troubleshoot and identify opportunities for improvementAbility to manage a number of tasks in a complex manufacturing plant environment, including strong conceptual, problem solving and communication skillsMust have the capability to interact effectively at all levels of managementDemonstrated high degree of sound judgment, resourcefulness, initiative and innovation in handling complex technical assignments with minimal supervisionAdditional eligibility qualifications : Demonstrated commitment to working in a safe working environment, including a working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety or applicable provincial legislationGeneral computer literacy skills with knowledge of spreadsheets, Microsoft Office, Microsoft DAX and communication applicationsStrong interpersonal skillsDemonstrated ability to work in a team environmentKnowledge and experience in both HACCP and ISO standards would be an assetPlease email jobs.
