Warehouse Supervisor

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Supervisor to join their Alberta distribution center. Salary is commensurate with experience. We also offer a very competitive benefits package covering group insurance and retirement plans.

Based in Calgary, Alberta, and working under the supervision of the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for assisting the Distribution Manager in the execution of managerial duties of the Alberta warehouse. The Warehouse Supervisor will also be responsible for managing the warehouse in the absence of the Warehouse Manager.

Key Supervisory Responsibilities :

• Assists the Distribution Manager with supervising, training, motivating, coaching and monitoring the performance of the warehouse team.
• Works with the Distribution Manager to warehouse staff in daily activities.
• Assists with building opening, close down procedures and building security (setting alarms and security contact). Ensures the front entrance and shipping docks are clear of debris, snow and ice.
• Ensures all orders and member / vendor orders and returns are picked, packed, and shipped properly ensuring productivity standards and shipping timelines are achieved.
• Coordinates the cleaning of the warehouse, shipping and docking area.
• Investigates and responds to member’s requests, complaints and / or issues in a timely fashion ensuring optimum member satisfaction.
• Maintains warehouse storage and creates space for new and expanding product lines.
• Assists Product Sales Representatives with reviewing product lines.
• Enforces job procedures and company policies and procedures; continuously improves work processes.
• Assists with administrative duties such as pre-receiving, data entry, preparing envelopes for Head Office and filing.
• Works with the Joint Health and Safety Committee to continue the distribution center’s excellent health and safety record.
• Other general duties, as assigned.
