Deaf and Hard of Hearing actors needed for Season 4!
EBC is looking for d / Deaf and Hard of Hearing kids to be part of Season 4!
Every Body Curious (EBC) is a dynamic web series dedicated to making sexual and relationship health education accessible to youth : a platform to get real info from experts and talk openly and honestly about sexuality, the body, and healthy relationships.
Preparing to shoot its fourth season, EBC helps 9-12 year-olds and their parents / caregivers and educators navigate the facts and resources often not made available through school.
We’re looking for curious kids who :
- are comfortable on set and on a camera
- have a desire to be part of something important for our youth community
- can help shed a light on the experience of d / Deaf and Hard of Hearing youth navigating sexual health education and relationships from their perspective.
We are hoping kids will have had some conversations / knowledge around this subject to be comfortable talking about it, but in the spirit of learning, this is also a journey with the experts, advocates and lovely humans involved.

We are looking for families in the GTA with a child who :
- are around the age of 10-15 d / Deaf and Hard of Hearing
- can do one full day commitment on November 20, 2023 from 8am-6pm (we may end earlier, but may need the whole time).
The shoot takes place at The Manor at The Bob Rumball Canadian Centre of Excellence for the Deaf in Toronto.
We are offering an honorarium of $500. There will be a crew of 15 (including the two hosts and producer).
Kids will work on screen with an experienced youth sexual health education expert, a disability advocate and a d / Deaf guest host, who will be supported by a fully professional crew and director.
Interpreters will be on set all day. There will be an onsite medic and industry-standard COVID health & safety protocols will be adhered to.
Filming practices will be adapted based on the needs of the child / youth being featured.
