As part of a planned leadership transition, Thompson is now seeking a new Chief Financial Officer ( CFO ) to partner with the CEO in charting the next evolution and growth of the company and ensure the organization is delivering and maximizing shareholder value.
As a key member of the senior management team, the CFO will be responsible for elevating and expanding the company’s finance and IT functions to catalyze and support business growth, while ensuring proper stewardship and controls over the company’s assets, processes, and financial systems.
- Key priorities include : building out processes and systems that enhance business discipline and support decision making and analysis;
- managing relationships with banks and cash management; enhancing resource planning, resource planning and asset utilization;
supporting commercial activities; and building and developing a best-in-class finance team.
The ideal candidate is a progressive, business-oriented CFO / SVP Finance ideally from a large, complex industrial services organization.
They will bring strong corporate finance, treasury and asset management experience combined with proven track record driving process and systems improvement across an accounting and finance function.
Specific experience working within a private equity environment would be an asset. The CFO must be a highly collaborative leader able to drive change and transformation in a strategic, business savvy, and empowering way.
Highly entrepreneurial, the CFO will understand how to drive shareholder value and comfortable in both a highly strategic as well as tactical manner.
