Evening Kitchen Manager

At S+L Kitchen & Bar Langley, we pride ourselves on delivering an exceptional dining experience and creating a positive, dynamic atmosphere for our team. We are currently looking for a passionate and experienced Night Coach to join our culinary team.

• Candidates must be available for evening / closing shifts

Summary :

The Night Coach is responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations during the evening shift, in support of the Sous Chef (SC) and Head Chef (HC). You will have the autonomy to make key decisions that positively impact guest satisfaction, food quality, and kitchen efficiency. This role involves managing kitchen staff, ensuring cleanliness and profitability, and upholding high standards in alignment with the HC. You'll also assist the SC and HC with recruitment, training, and development across all kitchen positions.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years experience in a kitchen leadership role, preferably in a high-volume setting.

Proficient working knowledge of Word and Excel, knowledge of Optimum considered an asset

Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety standards, and culinary techniques

Excellent communication and team-building skills.

Food Safe Level 1

First Aid Level 1, preferred but not mandatory

Must be available to work evenings and closing shifts!!
